August social competition terms and conditions

Give us your top power saving tip and go in the draw to win a $250 power credit top up!

1. The competition runs from 1 August 2023 until midnight 6 August 2023.
2. To enter to win, Meridian customers must comment their power saving tip on the competition Facebook post “[Win a $250 power top up]” posted by Meridian.
3. The competition is open to all current Meridian customers only. Employees and contractors of Meridian Energy Limited (and its subsidiaries) and their immediate families are eligible to enter.
4. Each customer may enter the prize draw only once.
5. By accepting the terms and conditions entrants are agreeing to be contacted by Meridian in relation to this offer.
6. Three competition winners will be randomly selected from all the comments received on Meridian’s competition Facebook post on 7 August 2023 via an electronic random name generator.
7. Each winner will receive a $250 power credit applied to their Meridian customer account (three prizes and winners in total).
8. Meridian will contact each winner before 9 August 2023. Meridian will attempt to contact the winners by Facebook. If contact is not made by the customer by 11 August 2023, the customer will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and Meridian has the right to choose a replacement winner.
9. By accepting the terms and conditions, in the event that you are one of the three winners, you agree to provide to Meridian your Meridian customer account details to receive the power credit.
10. By commenting, you agree that your comment may to utilised by us as user-generated content in the future.
11. Meridian’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The prizes are not transferrable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
13. By entering, you agree to be bound by and comply with these terms and conditions.
14. All entries become the property of Meridian and any incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
15. Meridian reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend the competition at any time. Meridian is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. Meridian may also vary this offer at any time by posting revised terms and conditions on our website.
