Chance to win 1 of 100 x 12 Free Winter Weekends

2. To enter to win, Meridian customers must complete and submit the form shared via direct email, opting into the competition.
Eligibility
3. The competition is open to all current Meridian customers who received the Free Winter Weekend competition email with the form link. Employees and contractors of Meridian Energy Limited (and its subsidiaries) and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
4. Each customer may enter the prize draw once.
The prize
5. The winners will get 12 weekends (12 am on Saturday till 11:59 pm on Sunday) of free power from 17 June to 9 September 2023. Free power includes both lines and usage charges. Free weekends will be applied as a bill credit covering the lines and usage charges for the relevant weekend. There are 100 Free Winter Weekends prizes to be won (100 winners in total). Additional terms and conditions regarding fair use, missing data and account credits can be found below.
6. Depending on the timing of your readings and bill generation, it is possible that your first invoice may not include any Free Weekend Credits. If this occurs the credit should appear on your next invoice.
7. There may be times when we need to estimate your electricity usage, for example, where the meter fails to communicate actual read data or where you switch off the mains. If this occurs, we will credit your account with $20 for the weekend that we were not able to get the read for. If the meter continues to fail to communicate during the 12 week period, we may need to move you to another plan. We’ll notify you should this occur.
8. The Free Winter Weekend prize is subject to an expectation of fair use. Meridian’s expectation of fair use is based on the average weekend electricity consumption of a residential consumer. This offer allows for 250 kWh of electricity usage over the relevant weekend. It’s around 6 times the average of a current residential customer's weekend consumption. Meridian may charge (at Meridian’s sole discretion) electricity usage over the 250 kWh limit for that weekend at the standard rate applicable. If we consider that your usage is in breach of Meridian’s expectation of fair use, Meridian reserves the right, without further notice, to immediately suspend or remove this offer from your account.
The draw
9. The winners will be randomly drawn on 9 June 2023 and be contacted by email. If confirmation is not made by 15 June 2023, they will be deemed to have forfeited their prize and Meridian has the right to choose a replacement winner.
10. Meridian’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. The prizes are not transferrable, refundable or redeemable for cash.
12. By entering, you agree to be bound by and comply with these terms and conditions.
13. All entries become the property of Meridian and any incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
14. Meridian reserves the right to extend, cancel or amend the competition at any time. Meridian is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions. Meridian may also vary this offer at any time by posting revised terms and conditions on our website.
