Effective from 4 April 2023 for new customers who join the Meridian through Smart Loyalty New Zealand Limited (“Smart Loyalty"), under an eligible Smart Loyalty rewards programmes.
- Sign up to Meridian through Smart Loyalty on an Eligible Plan (as defined in paragraph 2) and, subject to these offer terms and conditions, receive the applicable rewards described in paragraph 3.
- The Eligible Plans for the purposes of this offer are:
- Electric Vehicle Plan (two year fixed rate plan);
- Solar Plan (a five year fixed rate plan); and
- Other two year Fixed Rate Plan.
- The rewards for each of the Eligible Plans will be set out in your offer from Meridian, as determined by Meridian in its sole discretion. Depending on the chosen Eligible Plan, rewards may include the choice of an electric charging cable supplied by OEM Audio Limited (“OEM Audio"), bonus Loyalty Points or additional Loyalty Points for every $1 spent with Meridian.
- In order to be eligible for this offer, you must meet the following criteria:
- you must be a Smart Loyalty member under one of the following Smart Loyalty rewards programmes: GetGenuine GetRewards, SmartTrade, Hirepool Rewards, Fuso Performance Rewards, Daimler Performance Rewards, Subaru Rewards and Luxaflex Inspire Rewards;
- you must be a residential consumer, as listed on the national electricity registry;
- you must meet Meridian’s customer eligibility criteria set out in Meridian’s Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity and in the terms and conditions for the chosen Eligible Plan; and
- you must not have been a customer of ours in the 180 days prior to requesting this offer.
- Loyalty Points in these terms and conditions are points for your Smart Loyalty rewards programme. If you are a member of multiple Smart Loyalty programmes, you will only receive points for the one Smart Loyalty rewards programme you choose.
- Loyalty Points are earned based on the GST exclusive spend for your electricity account, and after any discount is applied. Points cannot be earned on electricity industry rebates, credits, or any additional discounts to your electricity account. Bonus Loyalty Points will be credited to your Smart Loyalty rewards account by the end of the following month after your electricity is confirmed as being supplied by Meridian. Other Loyalty Points earned will be credited to your Smart Loyalty rewards account monthly.
- On becoming a customer, you’ll be subject to Meridian’s Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity and all of Meridian’s other applicable terms and conditions for supply.
- If you cease to be a Meridian customer before the expiry date of chosen plan, we will charge up to $300 to your final bill, to recover the cost to us of procuring the incentives you were given when you joined under this offer. If you close any of your individual sites or switch any to another electricity retailer within this period, we will charge your next bill with an amount equal to the value of the incentives you received for that particular site.
- The offer is not transferrable, refundable or redeemable for cash. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
- Meridian reserves the right to cancel this offer at any time without notice to you. Meridian may also vary this offer at any time by posting revised terms and conditions on our website.
- Meridian, its employees and agents will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered in connection with any electric vehicle charging cable supplied by OEM Audio or this offer, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
