  1. The Solar Plan is a Fixed Rate Plan.  The term of the plan is the period set out in your offer from Meridian.
  2. In order to be eligible for the Solar Plan, you must:
    • be a residential consumer as listed on the national electricity registry;
    • meet Meridian’s standard customer eligibility criteria set out in Meridian's Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity and the eligibility criteria in our Onsite Renewable Energy Generation Terms and Conditions, and Meridian accepts you as a customer;
    • have solar or other generation equipment located on your premises which is capable of generating no more than 10 kilowatts (kW); and
    • you have an export meter at your premises that is capable of reliably recording and exporting electricity into the network without our assistance and is approved and certified in accordance with Part 10 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010.
  3. On signing up to the Solar Plan, you will be subject to these terms and conditions, Meridian's Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity, our Onsite Renewable Energy Generation Terms and Conditions and our Fixed Rate Plan (FRP) Terms and Conditions.
  4. We rely on your import and export meter(s) to be able to invoice you accurately.  If your meter(s) are permanently damaged and/or stops reliably providing the necessary information, then we will use reasonable endeavours to contact you and your Solar Plan will be replaced by another pricing plan of your choosing.  If we are unable to contact you or if you do not choose another pricing plan, then you will automatically be placed on our standard variable plan for residential.  To avoid doubt, your solar buy back rate may also change with your new pricing plan.
  5. If your generation capacity has changed or will change during the term of your Solar Plan and has or will become greater than 10 kilowatts (kW):
    • you must let us know of this change as soon as possible; and
    • you will no longer be eligible for the Solar Plan.  Meridian will use reasonable endeavours to contact you and your Solar Plan will be replaced by another pricing plan of your choosing.  If we are unable to contact you or if you do not choose another pricing plan, then you will automatically be placed on our standard variable plan for residential.  To avoid doubt, your solar buy back rate may also change with your new pricing plan.
  6. Meridian may amend these terms and conditions in accordance with the Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Electricity
